BALLET
Ballet is the foundation of all styles of dance. It builds a strong dance technique, as well as boasting improved posture, co-ordination, strength and fitness. Ballet also builds students self-confidence and discipline.
​JAZZ
This is a fast paced class for students who want to have fun and dance to their favourite pop songs. Jazz promotes fitness, strength, co-ordination and rhythm. Classes are categorised by age groups, which makes for a great social activity.
Hip Hop
A unique, energetic and exciting style of street dance.
LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY
This style of dance is about natural movement. Lyrical dance has the freedom to allow the body to express itself and the music.
TAP
Tap is a fun way to promote students musicality and dance skills.
​ACRO
Acro is the fusion of classical dance technique and precision and athleticism of acrobatic technique. Acro teaches flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling. It is strongly recommended that this class is paired with another dance class.
DANCESTEP
This Student Teacher Education Program- empowers students to take care of others and guides them to be leaders and role models. The program covers assistant teaching skills such as behavior management, different learning needs and styles, Safe Dance Principles and Anatomy to name a few. These concepts are broken down, to be taught in sequential and age appropriate ways. Whether students are considering a career in dance teaching or otherwise, the DanceStep program is a great preparation for many aspects of life.
PRIVATE LESSON/EISTEDDFOD WORK
Students wanting to take part in a private lesson must fill in an application form before classes begin for 2023. Students must be enrolled at CDF and express their interest in being part of the showgroup team.

​SHOWGROUP
The students involved in the show group will learn and perform in specialised routines for eisteddfods as well as other events and competitions. To be eligible for selection into the show group, students must be enrolled in certain classes. Please contact CDF for further information, fees and an application form.
